Crafty Manolo

Friends, it’s time to face one another in a Craft Corner Deathmatch… of sorts.

Nobody will be forced to go up against the Craft Lady of Steel, nor will anyone stand a chance of winning a scrapbooking cruise. Alas. Even more sadly, the lovely Amber will not roll out the materials looking like she just returned from a week-long rave.

Instead of a panel of minor celebrities sitting in judgement, you’ll have… well, me. Instead of a random pile of crap, you’ll have whatever materials and techniques you like to use. Instead of a scrapbooking cruise, the winner will receive a fabulous prize that any crafter in any medium can find a use for.

So what are the details?

To enter, simply send me a picture of your finest crafts project. Use my email address which you will find helpfully linked from my handle under Editors on the bar to your right. Attach your photo to your email or send me a link to your flickr account, personal blog or website. Please use the phrase: Crafty Manolo Contest in the title of your email so that I know what it is and don’t accidentally delete it with the spam about enlarging my non-existent manbits and helping Nigerian royalty smuggle their fortunes out of Africa.

Be sure to include any information you would like me to know about the project, such as materials, source of the design, how long it took to make, or any other tidbit that you feel makes it special.

Please have your entry to me by sunday, July 3 by 6pm PDT.

I will check out all the photos, and decide which is my absolute, all-time favorite. The winner will be announced on July 4. Said winner will receive a fabulous prize chosen by me among the many fine items available at Crafty Gear. Fear not. I’m not sending anyone a thong.

And yes, I do plan to share selected items with the Crafty Manolo community. Pictures and stories that I find particularly inspiring, amusing, bewildering, or otherwise likely to be of interest to others will be written up in articles during the month of July. Even if you don’t win the grand prize, this is your chance for a moment in the Crafty Manolo sun.
