Quickie Question: Did Santa Bring You Crafting Goodies?

By Twistie

Well my dears, how was your holiday? Did you get any craft-related goodies?

Tell me all about the books, spindles, looms, carving tools, caches of thread, sewing machines, origami papers, and all the rest… and I’ll tell you mine.

After all, when I wrote this, I hadn’t opened the pressies yet!

No supplies, but one of my bosses gave me a gift card to the super-duper-expensive-luxury yarn store in town. Yay!

Happy holidays! I received a cute scarf kit (for sewing) as well as a skein of gorgeous sock yarn (for knitting). I also received a small ball of repurposed silk that could be used as a knitting or sewing embellishment. I hope you received crafty stuff too.

I gots me a new immersion blender. I haven’t been stitching or sewing so much lately to give my hand a break, and DH got me the blender to make things even better!

Or maybe just to keep me crankin’ in the kitchen even more…hrmmm…

  4. Impkitti Says:

The DH gave me a set of small-scale carbide wood turning tools. I had said I couldn’t learn to turn my own lace bobbins because I can’t stand the sound of metal on metal, so would be unable to sharpen my tools. With proper care, carbide tools need little or no sharpening.

    Now to find the time……..

Some great scrapbooking goodies (scissors, self healing mat, etc) from my mil and Amy Sedaris’ book from my hubby! Yay crafty gifts :)

  6. Patricia Says:

A serger! I will be getting it from my in-laws next weekend and am SO EXCITED!
